Summit Theme
The Global Energy Summit 2007 will bring together leaders from the energy sector, government, consulting, banking, and academia to discuss the future of the Global Energy Mix. In particular, the conference will take a critical look at the challenges involved in balancing nations’ quest for Energy Security, with society’s desire to reduce the Environmental Impact of ever increasing energy demand.
Energy security concerns are on the rise and erstwhile stable sources of energy supply are becoming increasingly uncertain and insecure. Furthermore, concerns around global warming and pollution are propelling cleaner renewable energy and carbon-costed solutions forward. Are these two realities doomed to be in perpetual conflict with each other? Which of these concerns - Energy Security or Environmental Impact - will have the most influence on the future of the Global Energy Mix?
